Created in 1989 by Jean Garaïalde, international golfer, and Jeremy Pern, designer of many international golf courses, its 6219-metre course, crosses a forest of hundred-year-old oaks, beeches and birches, and opens on a vast plateau shaped and coloured in the manner of Scottish links.
Since then, the Roncemay golf course has continued to improve in order to guarantee golfers the best possible playing comfort as well as the quality of the course, which has been redesigned with the help of Julien Xanthopoulos, technical consultant and journalist on Canal Plus and Golf Plus. The latter, with the help of the greenkeeper and his team, has preserved the existing relief and vegetation of this magnificent site, between pond and forest. His signature is expressed through the jagged bunkers of an 18-hole golf course in Yonne and the famous 5th hole and its pond, a celebrated signature hole.
